Learn MoreI promised myself when i was able to try understand what it meant to live the good medicine way of life, follow the creators guide, would allow myself my tribal markings. I wanted to represent who i was, who i am and who i want to be in the next stages of life. To be able to indigenously lead a life to the fullest extent of myself is what i wanted since i was young. When people see my markings i want to let people know that my ancestors did not die in vain and my peoples life did not end in 1492
If your ink could speak, what would it say? Each piece would tell a story of my life, almost like a highlight reel. Each piece has a story to tell on my behalf, how i saw life, how i was feeling, and a goal I wanted to achieve or am going to achieve. I always want to be able to connect with people so my pieces give me a talking point.
What would you do with the $25,000?I was given the journey to adopt my nephew in the wake of my sisters struggle of addiction. At 22 years old i got a call that she had a child and left home at the hospital. I want to be able to give him what i did not have as a child, a permanent home. A place to be able to grow up, make friends and the security of a place to call home. No one in my family has ever owned a home and i would love to change that.
