It was inspired by the Hood Strawberry. I recently moved from London, UK, to Oregon, US, with my wife. We went through a really difficult time where she was in the US and I was in the UK for 17 months whilst my Visa went through, so we had no choice but to have a long distance relationship for that entire time with 5000 miles between us. When I finally got across the pond, we celebrated by getting matching tattoos from a local artist. The tattoos are of Hood Strawberries, which grow in Oregon.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My tattoos would tell us to remember the past, live in the present, but be mindful of the future. My tattoos centred around myths and legends remind us of where we come from and our creativity when it comes to understanding what happens around us. My sentimental tattoos linked to my friends and family teach me to be grateful of what I have. My nature inspired tattoos remind me that nothing lasts forever but there is beauty all around us.
What would you do with the $25,000?Like I said before, I recently moved to the US from the UK and one of the hardest things for me has been leaving my family behind, especially now my brother has had his first child. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to visit anywhere near as much as I would like to and I feel like I am missing my niece growing up, as well as time with my family. I would use the money to make trips back home and allow them to visit me. It would make me incredibly happy to be able to spend time with them.
