Enter For FreeI was inspired by desire to blend the natural world (heritage) with the folklore (culture). These became the artist’s choice of motif given a few photographs of different creatures I wanted, to be entirely his work without my dictation, thus including my adventuresome spirit in the endeavour. For this tattoo, I chose to be blindfolded so that the finished art would be an absolute surprise. And that is my humour. It is a masterpiece.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink does speak. It sings. It relates the stories of tradition, of the spirits and the folklore. It sings the songs and tells the tales. It makes up the greatest bullshit stories on the spot to confound for a fast getaway when things get sticky. It makes listeners weep and laugh. It simmers, smokes and boils up with the stories of my life. It gives hope for what future is left to the skin wrapped round my spirit. It says “Hit me again, mfkr, but you will not keep this warrior down”
What would you do with the $25,000?I do have considerable debt, so intend to chobble a chunk of that down, just so that I feel I can breathe again. And of course the government must steal a large serving of it without even entering the competition. That which is not consumed by taxes and debt would belong to charity. There are several dear to my soul, although I intend to make largish gift to one or two. Both óf which involve children. I want the children to have a future.
