What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My last tattoo session I got a two-headed boar and a circus elephant. I am a big woman, and I find beauty in big animals in their own power. Elephants are strong, sturdy and graceful animals. They are peace. Boars are certainly more chaotic, like me, and I felt empowered tattooing a pig on myself as a way to reclaim my fatness as a strength.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Abbey is passionate, confident, creative & resilient. Two years ago I emerged from a severe depressive episode & learned to unapologetically love myself. Once I accepted my body, I began my tattoo journey! My right arm is focused on the occult, my left arm on whimsy - I dive deep spiritually but know how to keep it fun! My left leg is focused on the natural world & my right leg on cryptids, myths & aliens - I carry an appreciation for the known and the unknown!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d likely get more tattoos and more art by tattoo artists. Any leftover I would invest in my own artistic endeavors (I am a letterpress printer) and spend spoiling my three rescue dogs (Tink, Tandy and Taco)!
