Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

my most recent tattoo is a little pair of Cicada wings! what inspired me with this piece was living in Michigan honestly! come Summer, the Cicadas are in full swing, and every time i look at my tattoo, it reminds me that warmer and happier times are imminent.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

if my ink could speak, it would tell the raw, unfiltered story of my life. every heartbreak, every triumph. every tattoo on my body was done by my own hand, many pulled straight from my sketchbooks. its so much more than ink! it’s my growth, my survival, my art, my voice.

What would you do with the $25,000?

i’m 19, living alone, doing everything i can as a struggling artist to keep going. this money would change my life. i’d finally be able to pay off my debt, give my cats and me a safe place to call home, and invest in the tools i need to grow as a tattoo artist. it wouldn’t just help me survive. it would help me thrive.
