Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

When I found out my wife was pregnant, my son was the size of a sesame seed, so I started calling him “Sesame.” My tattoo is a sesame flower not only for my first conscious memory of him but also because, while he was still developing, he could already hear me. Because of this, he recognized my voice when he was born. The inspiration came from the first connection between us; when he was the size of a sesame seed.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

The universe has a single sonic sound that vibrates constantly. If you can grab and hold on to the note, you are instantly connected with the world. Our minds then become free and present in time.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d give $10,000 to a charity to help more people become midwives and make the learning experience better. The midwives that were there during the birth of my son, were invaluable. The rest would go to a fund for my son’s education.
