Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent piece is a detailed, characteristic tribal wolf which signified the start of me finally getting back in touch with Native American roots even despite tribal elders not wanting to acknowledge my birth family's lineage within the tribe going back generations. I originally rejected it, barely ever even listing it on paper but I decided that my roots could never be taken from me. The wolf spirit is one I identity with perhaps most.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would tell of my terrible upbringing, the loss at the start of my life, the traumas and hardships and near death experiences I consistently faced while just trying to survive even as a child. My ability to stand strong and overcome all obstacles and push forward and do better. And the friends I have that are the true and only family I have left. And my spirit.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Honestly, I would use a portion to help get my first book/novel published and use the rest towards being able to continue studying psychology and earning a degree. Had to drop out unfortunately due to financial aid dropping the ball and then a later housing crisis that required me to work full time with no room for school, followed by a nearly crippling knee injury. And be able to afford a decent but simple engagement ring for my lady. She's the best.
