The inspiration behind finally getting a tattoo, this design, is that I left the abuse cycle. I don’t have to be subject to that treatment at home, in or around the military. My daughters & I survived what almost unalived two of us. I was strong enough, at my weakest and most disabled, to move us across the country (& continent) to a new place and environment to heal, learning to live. The few aren’t the majority.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?Death didn’t happen, you can survive and rise from the ashes to live (again).
What would you do with the $25,000?Most of those funds would go to aiding unhoused veterans recover paperwork lost in sweeps of homeless encampments where their belongings (including identifying papers) are lost to reenter society & get needed assistance.
