Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The hummingbird was the most recent, it was a way for me to remind myself that I’m the only one who can keep myself where I’m at, that I’m free to take off and go be happier, that no one can cage my spirit and that like all those beautiful colors and patterns I am beautiful and I’m worth every moment I have here.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

That I do my best, that I’m not perfect but I’ll always put in as much effort as it takes to make it work, that I take the time to look at the picture in more ways then one, but it doesn’t stop me from trying to find the good within the bad. That I’m working two jobs trying to make sure my son has what he needs and my dog as well. That I’ve been through some really rough moments but I don’t let it sink me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off my car, give at least 5 to my mother for every time she’s helped pick me back up. The rest I would use to get a nice place to raise my son and give my dog a yard she deserves. Anything left would be put into a savings fund for my son.
