My most recent tattoo is a hand piece inspired by Mel Ribbons’ book Let Them. The message behind Let Them really resonated with me—it’s about releasing control, letting people make their own choices, and finding peace in allowing life to unfold naturally. I wanted that reminder permanently with me, especially on my hand where I would see it daily. It symbolizes my growth in learning to let go and trust the journey.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?Each of my tattoos tells a part of my story. From a tribute to my childhood friend who passed away from cancer, to a color wheel and shears representing my passion for hairstyling and makeup artistry, to remembrance pieces honoring my Nana and Grandpa, each one captures a meaningful chapter of my life. I also carry several symbolic designs that mark different stages of my journey, each serving as a reminder of where I’ve been and who I’ve become.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won, I would use the money to help start a furniture business with my dad. He’s incredibly talented at building, welding, and creating, and it’s always been a dream of mine to combine our skills into something meaningful. Together, we would create one-of-a-kind, artistic furniture pieces that tell their own stories—just like my tattoos. This opportunity would help turn a dream into a reality and allow us to build something lasting as a family.
