Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Grief, rebirth, and divine alignment. My most recent tattoo—a sparrow in flight, 11:11, and Roman numerals—is a timestamp of my healing. The sparrow represents freedom and the return home to self. The 11:11 was the moment my husband and I reunited after years apart. This ink isn’t decoration—it’s a memory etched in truth, pain, forgiveness, and love. It marks the day everything changed.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I remember when you forgot how to breathe, and I stayed. I held your story when your voice shook. I am your proof—you survived, you transformed, and you’re still rising. You don’t need to explain your scars—they’ve already spoken for you.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would build something bigger than me—a mentorship program for women and teen girls who never had the guidance or education they deserved. I want to use this to get certified, train others, and open a center focused on emotional intelligence, healing trauma, entrepreneurship, and creating generational change. My ink tells my story—this grant would help me help others find theirs.
