Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, following the loss of my daughter entering my 3rd trimester with her. I have a thyroid cancer ribbon on my left ankle/foot.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My tattoos essentially remind me I owe my life to my angel baby, and she is my guardian angel. I may never have found out I had cancer if not for her. I was only 19 years old when diagnosed. Her footprints are on my right foot, so I may walk with her always.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The first thing I would do, is give my dad $10,000. I am a single mom of 4, DV/SA survivor and thyroid cancer survivor. I would put the rest toward a proper attorney to get custody of my other 2, and bring awareness to the lack of knowledge our justice system has for mental health and DV/SA abusers. I hope to inspire a law that requires all judges and attorneys to have education in Psychology, focused on abusers, victims, and trauma bonding.
