I got a praying mantis with wings recently. She presents not just a symbol of my ancestors always finding me and protecting me, but also of my feminine strength. The pray mantis is known to mate and than devour them shortly afterwards. As a survivor of rape and domestic abuse I pride myself for the things I've accomplished and to know true independence and self worth.
