My ink tells the story of how I’ve grown and evolved as an individual, as a woman and as a mother, and my story is far from over.

Enter For FreeMy most recent tattoo, a grave with a skeleton surrounded by items from my youth and adolescence with the phrase "I've shed my skin so many times the graves must be full of all the people I used to be", was inspired by just that. My youth. I grew up as an obese child with my mother and father essentially whispering in my ear who I should be. I've shed a lot of weight and a lot of versions of who I thought I was only to discover I am who I am today because of everything I never was.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak it would say that it is unique to me and that it would be incredibly awkward if someone else had my grandmother or my son tattooed on them. It would tell you of my transformation from a scared and insecure adolescent to a confident woman who is no longer on the sidelines of my own life but rather a willing participant who is elated to have this opportunity and to share my story with others!
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25K, I would use to begin the next chapter of life for my son, fiancé and me. What does that chapter read like? Well, it begins with a home of our own. Now, I'm not naive, and I know that $25K won't purchase a new home, but it will allow us to provide a downpayment on a house that would be ours...a house that we could turn into a home. A home where I would teach and guide my son to never give up on himself and to fight like hell to become who HE is and who HE wants to be.
