I’m a MMA fighter and the Aztec warrior woman on my back represents my fights inside and outside of the cage. I didn’t have the easiest upbringing, so when I finally had space to work through my trauma and struggles, I had to fight my old self in order for my new self to be born. I’ve had to be a warrior in both the darkness and light. That’s what inspired her to be “born”.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?It would say how I have a heart of gold because of the losses I’ve suffered and it would speak to my Chicano heritage as well. It would speak on how the darkness held me hostage for years but once I lost too much to its chokehold, I chose light. The journey of my soul is tattooed into my skin and shares the story of a scared little girl that turns into a warrior of a woman.
What would you do with the $25,000?Through the journey of my life I have been blessed with two kids and a wife. I would put most of it into a trust for my kids to enjoy when they’re older. But truly, this isn’t about the money for me. I want my story to be told so I can further help people that have struggled like I have and show them you can win at life!
