Simply, but not so simply, my mom. The tattoo has the hummingbird, book, butterfly and flowers. She loved her butterfly garden- waited every year for the first few to show up. The hummingbird- she could sit for hours watching the hummingbirds outside of her window. Book- she was the most avid reader of anyone I know and was a teacher for many years. And the flowers are the birth month flowers of my three daughters- her pride and joy.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I think the individual parts tell small stories of who she was as not only my mom, but a grandmother, a teacher and an avid nature lover. She was definitely one of a kind and the best mom I could have ever had.
What would you do with the $25,000?Get some new ink, of course! Then put the rest in a college fund for my girls. That’s what their Nana would have done.
