Angela Mullen

I am a fighter & I refuse to let anything stand in my way. My ink would show that I hid my scars with beauty so I can accept myself more.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I want to be comfortable in my own skin again. I would like to get in on my chest to cover my double mastectomy scars. I have had reconstructive surgery but still have scars and no nipple. I have two photos of which are the styles that I would like. The art would cover my scarred body and give me confidence, self love and power to push forward. I believe this tattoo would be a symbol to all that I have endured and overcame in my life.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I believe the ink would show how much of a fighter and warrior I am. My body is covered with scars and my ink would say “mama you are here-alive, loved, and beautiful—scars don’t define you!”

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were to win $25,000 I would use it towards bills. I have a daughter who starts LSU in August and the money would help when her scholarships run out. I would do something nice for my son-he has really bad ADHD and ODD so I would find something enjoyable and special for him to do. He is starting high school next school year. Help my family and husband’s family. I believe lastly, adopt 2 senior dogs from a shelter and give them the best life until they cross the rainbow bridge.
