Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My father passing away unexpectedly, practically in front of my own eyes. I realized that life is very short, and I didn’t want to regret or be scared to do anything. I thought about my sleeve since my first purple rose tattoo in the center of my lower arm at 16yrs old, in dedication to my grandmother, who passed the day before her 1st tattoo appointment- for a small rose on her wrist. I spent years drawing everything to give myself an idea of what I wanted it to look like, and here we are

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink would be a depiction of all the people I have come to know and love in my life, as I didn’t choose my sleeve- but they did. Each colored flower blooms between the black and white - symbolizing their special mark on me, as without them I don’t know who I would be today. The dragon is haku from spirited away, who symbolizes fluidity, love, loyalty and coming to find and love yourself. I’ve had a hard time with my own image, but as time goes and I add more colors to my life

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to either get my dream leg sleeve, which ideally would be telling a story of my life from childhood to adulthood - but also if possible to take care of my mother, and family. She is my world and tries so hard to be both a mother and a father now, at such a young age herself.
