Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I had just gotten out of a very dark period/relationship and wanted to remind myself I am enough to keep going. That my family is always behind me and doesn’t fault me for my mistakes. The writing around the flower is my mom’s, she is the shoulder I can always lean on, the one that always picks me up and encourages me to keep going.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I feel my ink says that my family is my everything. My mom, Mamaw, and Papaw raised me to be strong and show love despite what life throws at you. You are bigger than mistakes, you are enough, and you are loved. Some parts show the connection with my sister, my best friend and she will always be there and be my rock. My grandparents handwriting because they are my inspiration for my life, they showed me what love is and to accept nothing less.

What would you do with the $25,000?

To be honest I would make a down payment for jaw reconstruction and tooth implants. I lost my teeth at a young age due to a genetic defect, since then my lower jaw has started deteriorating. I have dentures that don’t fit now due to the bone loss and just want to be able to eat, smile, talk, and feel like a normal person again. I miss my real smile….I know I am enough but inside it still hurts to feel less than just because of appearance.
