Enter For FreeWas in part to celebrate a 21 year anniversary where we had returned together to Japan (her home country), my love of hot springs, the places I lived within nature and the fondness between traditional/modern art as showing distinction between Meiji era style artwork/paintings and modern anime art. It was also inspired from the previous tattoo that was a bit of a compromise and wanted to have something more personal in a Japanese artistic style and artwork
If your ink could speak, what would it say?The idea of the hidden, yin/yang motif so to speak, with personal elements like the representation of my first (reworked) one that I tried to show the various influences that inspired my journey like the rising eastern sun behind my back with an ocean between me and Japan where I originally met my wife and of course the appreciation and love of Japanese culture and tattooing
What would you do with the $25,000?Of course in part it would help to pay off some personal debt, donate a portion, but also allow my wife to be able to go back to Japan. When we celebrated our 21st anniversary we finally had a chance to visit Japan together. The last time I was there was the day I left, 21 years ago (where I had originally met my wife). How things have changed and the stories I could tell! I would like to give the chance for my wife to visit her parents and be with family again more frequently
