What inspired your most recent tattoo?

This is my manifest piece. I have been through traumas that shattered my ideal dream life. This is my piece that shows the old me and the life I tried to build got burnt to ashes but I will make it through and rise above, from the flames comes the Phoenix. The moon is a symbol of motherhood and around it are the constellations my children and I were born.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

No matter what you have been through, the hurt, the loss, the judgement, none of it can stop who you are meant to become. Shed the skin, the expectations, the limits of your physical and mental boundaries. Become more than your circumstances. Burn it all down. Rise above and let your instincts guide you.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put ten thousand towards each of my children's college education. But I would take a fifth for myself to add to my own body art. I want to add a raven with a garnet in it's beak. Which symbolizes transformation and connection with the spiritual realm. My stepson passed away before I got to talk to him again and his birthstone was a garnet. Garnet is also my Aunt and grandmother's name. Both of which have passed.
