I suffered from extensive abuse from my ex and had a very poor body image, but after I left him I worked very hard and lost 100lbs, but still suffered from body dysmorphia, so I wanted to remind myself I am beautiful and worthy. So I chose a vintage mirror (close to one that was handed down to me by my grandmother) as she wanted me to always be able to look in it and see myself for the person she always told me she was proud of, smart, beautiful, funny and a great mother (as per her words).
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I’m a sexy, badass mom and nurse who deserves to feel beautiful and teach others about self worth and self love. Every piece is a reminder and reflection of my past, what is important to me and how much I have overcome.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off some of my debts as I was not working for 2 years due to terrible health issues, put a chunk aside to add to a down payment on a house for my babies and amazing other half I now have, give my parents a few thousand for helping me through everything, and add to my children’s RESP’s
