I wanted something tangible to remind myself to never give up. Regardless of the circumstance it’s my responsibility to walk onward, even if my hopes are shattered and I’m left with nothing - I need to keep moving. That’s what my dad taught me, and I want to honor his legacy by always striving for progress.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would tell the story of my family and how we coped with the loss of my dad. It would speak about perseverance, strength, and grief. It would tell you the story of a family unified by faith, and in spite of the seemingly unbearable weight of death they kept moving forward - together.
What would you do with the $25,000?After my dad died, my mom felt called to start a widows ministry. A platform where she could share her experiences so that other widows could come together and support each other through their loss. I would donate the money to her non-profit and also use it to pay off my student loans. If there were any funds remaining I would buy a new camera/lens for my photography business.
