One of my latest tattoos is Yipes, the zebra mascot from Fruit Stripe gum. It's a nostalgic piece that brings back memories of being a kid—sticky fingers, neon wrappers, and that five seconds of intense flavor. I was drawn to the bold, rainbow stripes and how full of energy and movement the character is. It’s a fun, whimsical reminder not to take life too seriously and to hold on to the little joys that made growing up so colorful.

It would hum in color, bleed in rhyme, A living journal outside of time. It would tell of nights when I couldn’t sleep, Of silent tears and wounds run deep. Of healing found through needle's sting, Where pain gave rise to everything. It would shout in red, sing soft in blue, Of every truth I ever knew. It would dance on skin, pulse with pride, The art that lives and will not hide.
