What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The spiral on my elbow has been a symbol that I’ve always been drawn to. It signifies my path in life and my own healing. Life is a spiral. You can either spiral up or down. Healing is a spiral it’s never linear. The spiral itself also reminds me of the limitless ways I can be creative. It’s never ending.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I love this question. The black out that starts my sleeve says, even when life is at its darkest.. to keep blooming. The flower of life is part of the design. As it continues my sleeve tells people that we are part of nature, there sits a woman who has a fungus called Amanita muscaria on it. She is beautiful but be cautious with her. The hot air balloon was a design I created in highschool. Be a free spirit, your authentic self. Finally the broken compass. Only love/god can guide me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would put some of that money to create art programs in Riverside or Moreno Valley to get kids off and away from drugs. Growing up in that city I was struggling with a meth addiction at 15. I currently work with a non profit charity called ChildHelp. They help with foster youth in the OC area. However the inland empire is a social economic drought and needs all the help it can get. I want to have sports, music, and other forms of self expression easily accessible. I didn’t have that growi
