Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a kintsugi rose. I love the idea that those things that break us apart a bit can also be beautiful and make you more complete when you piece yourself back together. The rose is meaningful because of my passion for The Dark Tower series and the rose that lays at the heart of the universe. Beautiful and powerful while delicate and precious.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My right arm would tell the story of my passion for reading, as the arm is dedicated to The Dark Tower series and A Song of Ice and Fire. My left would go on about my dedication to family and meaning with animals that I identify with. My ribs would say how much I respect my father. My chest would tell of my love for my mother and the animals we identify with. My calf says the destruction can bring you higher up like a phoenix. And my right thigh reminds me to pay heed to all aspects of my life

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would visit NYC to make a memory at Bang Bang before spending time revisiting the places that shaped my earlier years. Then travel to Amsterdam to work and live for the season, visiting important art locales and museums while researching how to retire among the Netherlanders. Life is filled with experiences rather than goods, and my goal is to build more memories while I can.
