Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I followed Sam Clark’s work for over a decade, dreaming of the day I’d sit in his chair. Distance didn’t matter—my girlfriend and I flew from Minnesota to Australia just for him. I’ve always loved how foxes symbolize luck, so he created a fox and magnolia piece that flows from my face to my neck. Two unforgettable days. One incredible artist. A memory tattooed into me forever.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say: “Let go.” I seek out artists whose work moves me, give them a vision, then trust them completely. Jeff Gogue—an artist, client, and friend—once said in his film Surrender that tattooing is about yielding to the pain, the process, the art. That mindset is in every line of ink I wear.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d hit the road and give back—to the artists who’ve given me so much. Many are brilliant artists but need help with design. I’d fulfill my dream of a traveling studio, offering branding, merch, and marketing to tattooers worldwide—bridging the gap between incredible art and unforgettable branding.
