What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoos are blackwork versions of John Cayea’s illustration for Stephen King’s novel “The Stand”, one of my favorite books. The matching tattoos are to commemorate the last five years of my life, which have been turbulent. I worked healthcare through the covid pandemic and witnessed many of my patients’ health decline before they died, I suffered a traumatic injury at work, and I entered my 30’s—something my younger self would never have a

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink would tell you that I’m here, I’m alive, I’m proud to be myself, and I’m not going anywhere.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest in more ink! Since I was a little kid I’ve wanted to have my body covered in tattoos, and there are quite a few artists not located near me who I’d love to have artwork from. So, tl;dr: travelling for more tattoos
