Enter For FreeMost of my life I’ve been battling with BPD, PTSD and severe depression due to tramas growing up. I love getting tattooed because they remind me that with pain comes beauty and I can focus that pain from a tattoo and wear it on my sleeve as a badge of honor, and knowing I can overcome anything. Every tattoo I have shows a piece of my struggles and strengths, and where I’m from.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?It would say pain can be beautiful because feeling pain means you’re alive and if you can feel true pain you can feel true happiness. My tattoos show the demons I’ve battled and overcome, they show where I came from and where I’m going. As a poet once said, you can never cross the ocean tell you have the courage to lose sight of the shore and I try to live by that and not letting my past and mental diagnosis define or stop me from where I’m from and where I’m going.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would do a full back tattoo of Buddha sitting next to a cherry blossom tree meditating on a hill while a battle of Oni soldiers are fighting at the bottom of the hill, showing him not phased, or interested in breaking his meditation. As much as I’d need the extra cash I’d like to use the rest of the money to donate it to a family struggling with hospital bills a family that’s trying to stay afloat because they’re drowning in bills.
