Enter For FreeMy dad used to say "there is no definition of beauty in art, the beauty lies within the artwork itself or the person looking at the artwork". My latest piece is a series of shapes and odd figures that cross into each other, creating overlaps. It's filled in with different colors. It's an absolute odd, rare, beautiful mess. My dad, allowing me to think for myself and just be me, inspired what is on my right leg. He died from an odd cancer, so it symbolizes how strong and unique he made
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink is a clear expression of how I feel about the world. I love everybody, there's beauty in every object, person, or issue. You always have to find the brightness in the dim light. If I can just make one person's life a little bit better then I've left a mark in this world, even if it's just one person. My ink encapsulates my desire for everybody to feel love. Everybody deserves love and happiness.
What would you do with the $25,000?I'd first help my aunt with her rent, so she can get back on track and not become homeless. Then I'd enroll in my PhD program, which I've been putting off because it's so expensive, and get my doctorate. I currently hold a masters degree and a bachelors degree and my goal is to become a professor at a university with two full sleeves on my arms and start to break down traditional stereotypes about people who have tattoos.
