My most recent tattoo is a traditional swallow carrying a laurel branch. It’s inspired by the traditional tattoos my uncle has and reflects my love for birds—this is my fifth bird tattoo and second swallow. The design symbolizes peace, freedom, and the idea of always returning home.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my tattoos could speak, they’d tell the story of growing up in a small Midwest town where tattoos weren’t always accepted. They’d speak of breaking norms, embracing adulthood, and finding identity through art.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000, I’d give $1,000 to my friend and tattoo artist, to support studio improvements—she’s been part of my tattoo journey, and I’d love to give back. The rest would go toward purchasing a home and helping supplement my wife’s income so she can focus on pursuing her artistic passions without added pressure. It’s about investing in the people and spaces that have shaped who I am and who I hope to become.
