In April 2024, I got the word “resilience” tattooed down my spine. At the time, I felt like I had hit rock bottom—my world had been turned upside down. I chose this word as a permanent reminder of my self-worth and the strength I’ve shown throughout my life. It’s a symbol of everything I’ve overcome and the resilience that’s carried me through even the darkest moments.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak, it’d tell my story: a cardinal near my heart for my grandfather’s memory, an anatomical heart for my purpose in healing, Romans 10:8 anchoring me in faith through darkness, “resilience” etched as proof of all I’ve overcome, and a compass honoring the Navy—my guide, my discipline, my direction.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had the opportunity to win $25,000, I would use the money to help fund my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on Critical Care. This would allow me to provide a higher level of care to patients in critical need and make a greater impact in my community. My goal is to use my advanced education not just for personal growth, but to serve others and give back in a meaningful way.
