The last tattoo I got is a Tootsie Roll, for my grandpa. He was diagnosed with cancer and already had heart issues, so I wanted him to know I’d always carry a piece of him with me. He passed from COVID about a year later, but the tattoo keeps his memory close.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I’m the freedom to be unapologetically myself. I wasn’t made to blend in—I was made to show the world who I am, what I’ve survived, and what I stand for. Every tattoo is a choice, a memory, and a mark of independence. I don’t ask for permission—I speak for the life he’s living on his own terms.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would like to get my student loans paid off and show my grandma that my tattoos finally paid off.
