Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was inspired by my wedding last year. I finally met the person who accepts me for me and allows me to let my freak flag fly! He is supportive of everything I do, as long as it isn’t harmful to my existence and cares for me like no one else, except maybe my mother, ever has. If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak it would tell you that it is something I am quite proud of and I believe makes me unique and different, which I strive for. In a world of conformity and oppression I seek to promote radical self-expression and acceptance of all forms of beauty. It would ask you to think twice before judging me, or anyone else who has tattoos, in a negative light.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would make a down payment on a home for me, my two kids and my new husband. I divorced their dad and lost my job three years ago and have been separated from my kids ever since. My husband and I can only afford a 27 ft. camper at the moment, so I only see my kids on the weekends and never get to have them stay over. I have been looking for work steadily and have a good degree and a teaching credential. But getting ahead has been challenging. This money would change our lives. Truly.
