Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My Uncle spent the last year battling cancer and unfortunately he didn't win. He was very much like a grandfather for my two children when my dad passed and he taught them about livestock and hard work. He taught them about hunting and morals. So my most recent tattoo is to honor him so that we never forget those values.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would tell stories of heartache and triumphs. It would tell battles won and lost. It would tell stories of many different people who have helped guide me throughout life, whether for a short time or their lifetime. Stories of lessons learned. It would show you one of the things that I've always taught my children, blood doesn't make you family. What makes you family is people who love you for you in spite your faults and stick around anyway.

What would you do with the $25,000?

So for most of my children's lives I have been a single mom. Even on the hardest days I always managed to make things work financially. They've never known that we didn't have as much as the next person. So to be completely honest, I would finish paying off our home so that it would take some weight off of my shoulders and I could have less stress.
