My self-growth. I never thought I was going to get tattoos, but as I accepted who I was, I discovered my love for ink.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The one I already have - I got a matching tattoo with my stepdad, who adopted me recently. We have two capybaras with water guns - his has a little hair, mine has my glasses. I love him and how he stepped up and chose me, he is the dad I never had, and more than I could have ever asked for. In a few weeks I am getting one with my family (all different) to mark our trip to Greece!

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say that it showed me how to love myself. My first, a waxing moon with magnolias, was just a beautiful pre-drawn I picked - and I gave it the meaning I needed it to have. Each tattoo is a map of growing and learning after leaving my abusive 8yr. relationship and valuing myself. The pain is temporary, but the art is forever

What would you do with the $25,000?

My girlfriend and I are in the process of buying our first house - and jeez it’s hard! We have a good amount of money saved, enough for our down payment, but its our life savings. The $25,000 would allow us to buy the house we’ve fallen in love with, and paint/decorate the house to match us. I never thought I would be able to buy a house, and I’ve worked hard to get here - my very inked girlfriend AND my ink have helped me transform into me
