My most recent is a cover-up of a tattoo I’d gotten in memory of my memaw, who died in 2011. Because I was 22 at the time & didn’t want Memaw permanently on me, I got her name, Ginger, on my right shoulder. Turns out, Ginger was never her name; Memaw was schizophrenic, & Ginger was 1 of 5 known personalities. After 12 years of stewing on that, I figured Memaw was pretty metal, & reached out to my friend Shizoq to create a death metal band logo with MEMAW.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink says that I’ve got an odd sense of humor, queer tastes in films & music, and a tendency to choose bold statements & placements.
What would you do with the $25,000?Probably pull myself out of debt, pay off my car, & put some towards long overdue repairs around our home.
