Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Since I can remember, I've struggled with severe mental health issues. I've dealth with severe anxiety, OCD, and depression, and it had gotten to the point where I attempted to take my own life, twice. In those moments, I felt utterly alone, and I just wanted my mind to be at peace and to stop hurting for once. Up until this point, I had used self-harm as a coping mechanism, until I couldn't stomach the physical pain anymore, and it did nothing to help diminish the mental pain.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I am forever grateful that your attempts were all unsuccessful. I'm grateful that you stand here today as resilient as ever, having fought some of the toughest battles alone, and not only persevered, but came out stronger. Let me serve as a reminder that life is beautiful, and even though there will be just as much downs as ups, your story does not have to end. It does not have to be cut short and the world is more beautiful with you in it. Always remember to love yourself first.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Me and my family have struggled financially for years. I put myself through college, and I want to have a good career, not only to support myself, but also to give back to my family and ease their financial burden even if its only a little, and even if its only temporarily, because nothing hurts my heart more than to see them suffer.
