What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a Phoenix rising from it's dead self. I recently moved back home, to Connecticut, from Ohio. I packed up a haul and left my (now ex) husband in the rear view. I have shed my old life. My old ways that were not helpful to me. Coming home. Surrounded by my family and being wrapped in their unwavering love has given back my wings so I can fly.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink, so far, is my story. I have gone through things that no one should ever have to go through. Bad childhood situations. Bad marriages (2). Bad friendships. Bad work place situations. Through it all I have risen above and I can confidently say that I am now a Thriver. I am no longer only a survivor. I can be a lot to handle, much like a hurricane, but I am also helpful, like the rain and sunshine. I am fiercely protective of the people in my inner circle, like a Hippo.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000 I would give some to my mom, for she's been there for through everything and never lost hope in me. I would send each of my children (2) some for their college education. I would DEFINITELY get the two tattoos I've been trying to save up for. 😁 I would treat my friends to dinner and drinks. Then bank the rest. Save for a rainy day, my next vacation, another tattoo, rent, ect...
