Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I have my local tattoo artist drawing up a Coraline design currently. Since my daughter was 2 and able to talk (she will be 11 in May) she just always loved that movie. I have a video of her, right before bed where she found the DVD, says CORALINE! My sister says “We’re not watching Coraline. You’re going to bed.” Sadly she says, “Coraline?” It was really cute and I always have that memory in the back of my mind when she asks to watch it before bed. I have the

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I think my art would speak of imagination and creativity. I usually have an idea of what I want, but I always want the artist to make it their own and give them full creative control. I love seeing artists minds in art. One tattoo, I designed myself (with a metaphor behind it) after a friend/coworker passed away from being struck by lightening.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would give it to my mom, so she could put a down payment on a house. She’s looking to downsize and can’t find anything within her price range. She has been the most loving, devoted, supportive, resilient, kind, giving and helpful mother + grandmother a gal could ask for. She’s always been there for me, now it’s her turn to relax and be given a gift.
