My most recent tattoo was an x-ray style floral piece. To me, it symbolizes transparency & vulnerability. Just as an x-ray reveals what’s hidden underneath, this tattoo reflects the desire to be truly seen.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak, it would tell stories of resilience and passion for life. My favourite piece, the woman dancing with death would speak of my ability to find grace in the face of endings—how I’ve learned to move with pain instead of resisting it. Many of my tattoos reflect the most monumental moments in my life and have made me feel more connected with my body, it reveals the parts of me that words can’t touch.
What would you do with the $25,000?As an artist, I have been planning my clothing line for the last year now. As it stands right now, I’m unable to take off time from work to explore other art forms due to financial responsibilities. Winning $25,000 would allow me to further my career and branch out in other forms of expression, something I have been dreaming of for a lifetime.
