Enter For FreeMy most recent tattoo is a full back and butt piece of a crane, blending neo-traditional and Japanese styles. Growing up in the ghettos of L.A. as a female artist, I always felt out of place. The crane represents grace in adversity, rising above without losing softness. It’s a symbol of survival, beauty, and standing tall in spaces that weren’t made for you.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak, it would tell the story of a girl who grew up in tattoo shops—starting her apprenticeship at 17 and earning a B.A. in art along the way. Every piece is done by artists I’ve known and learned from. My tattoos blend traditional themes with femininity and edge, reflecting both my formal art education and lived experience in the industry. They speak of growth, grit, and style with soul.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received the $25,000, I’d open a studio where each artist has their own space similar to a private studio, with shared areas to build community and create together. I’d also pursue my master’s in art to teach at the college level and give back to the community that shaped me.
