What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was inspired by a picture of my kids happy and healthy at the beach during this beautiful sunset. We waited for days like this… for our family to be out and about enjoying life. Life without the fear of my daughter getting sick and having to be rushed to the hospital. They were young and we spent time together. Time is a thief. Now they are older and those moments are few and far between so I treasure this one moment that feels like it was just yesterday.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say that through all the trials and tribulations, we made it. My husband and I survived together while our daughter fought cancer. My daughter is thriving and a survivor. My sons are such amazing boys and I believe it’s because of all they went through. It says be proud, always be ready for a fight, and don’t ever let anyone put you down.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would definitely donate a portion to it for the hospital/oncology team that saved my daughter’s life. I’d use some to update our house since we were never able to afford that because I didn’t work for a very long time. The rest, just for my kids.
