Simply put, I ❤️ NY. I wanted to include the iconic logo somewhere within my sleeve. I asked my daughters for their input. They were born and raised in Connecticut and only know of NYC what I have told them or put them on to. My oldest Zoë, told me one of her fondest memories of the Bronx was being taken to Yankee games and getting McDonalds across the street. We fed the pigeons together and she loved it. So Daddy had to include a pigeon wearing a Yankee hat, of course.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink does speak. It speaks volumes about the pride I take in being from NYC. New Yorkers are the utmost survivors. From the pigeons to the rats and roaches. We do what we must to get by. There is no mistake in Sinatra’s lyrics. If you can make it here you can make it anywhere. My ink reminds me of that. It allows me to carry my pride in the colors that run up and down my arm. It tells anyone who sees it a short story about the man.
What would you do with the $25,000?$25,000 would be unbelievable. While I have a Bachelor’s degree, we make ends meet and there’s not much room for anything else. In addition to paying off some debts, I would use the money to plan a once in a lifetime trip to Ireland. I confirmed through ancestry testing that I’m mostly Irish and think it would be life changing to visit. The opportunity to be in the running for this is incredibly exciting.
