What I ended up with was a black star, pink moon going through it, and a pink flower beneath. Now i look and i think body, mind, and spirit. Before i got this tattoo, it was a tattoo of my exes name. My abuser. Black eyes and attempted murder. A lifelong disability. Made me tattoo his name on my hand and get my birth control taken out. Now i have a beautiful daughter. He wanted her name to mean Moon. I changed it to mean huntress.

It would sing about all the hurt and all the beauty. It would scream about abuse statistics. Youre 750% more likely to die within the year if your partner has strangled you. The top reason for death in pregnant women is homicide. It takes on average 7 times to leave an abusive relationship and 75% of dv homicides are after the victim tries to leave. If he can hit you he can kill you.
What would you do with the $25,000?Id care for my daughter. Get a cheapish car so I can get to all our appointments. Maybe get surgery for the sciatica he gave me. Put a few thousand into her college tuition. Maybe put some into tuition for myself. I want to go into political science and make this world better for her. I love her so much she saved my life.
