What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Resilience - script word that turns into poison ivy. Like Poison Ivy, uproot me, tear me down, but I'll be back. I had it done days before the world shut down for covid-19. Little did I know how much that word was going to play a part in my life over the next year. There were so many life changes, but most challenging was the day I was in a boat that capsized in the Gulf of Mexico. Resilient, I had to be as I swam alone for 3 1/2 hours until I was rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Love (the anchor), Family (the fleur) never forget where you came from, Faith (the cross) hold it above all, Resilience (poison ivy) they may try to tear you down, but surprise!...I'm not going anywhere. The flowers scattered about is beauty - I am worthy, I am beautiful, life can be challenging and beautiful at the same time if you choose to see the beauty around you. I'm a glass half-full kinda girl!

What would you do with the $25,000?

It would help me to start to build a small home on family property next to my Dad who is now 82 years old. Get goes back to that family thing (the fleur) I am of French and Portuguese descent. Remember where you come from....they took care of me, now it's my turn to take care of them.
