My most recent tattoo was inspired by peace. I ended an abusive relationship and I chose the palm tree—a symbol that stands tall and grows even in the harshest desert conditions. It reminded me of the roots I created in my life and my resilience no matter what surrounded me.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak, it would say to my past self - you are powerful, you are worthy. Love yourself. I hope each piece will become a reminder of who you are during the paths you are conquering. I have recently survived nearly a decade of homelessness - this period challenged me and it brought immense suffering. But just like how the serpent can last without water and rises after a long period of time, I too, have risen.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would save it for my baby daughter who is 4 months old today. I want her to know that I love her and be able to give her peace in her future.
