I never felt comfortable in my skin until I started putting art on it. My tattoos are badges from a life spent learning to love myself.

Enter For FreeMy most recent tattoo is a Medusa tattoo. Medusa, to me, is a victim of the patriarchy and a symbol of strength and female empowerment. As a sexual abuse victim myself, she’s also a symbol of protection for me. I’ve wanted a Medusa tattoo for years and finally pulled the trigger after finding an artist I loved to do the custom work.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?“I am so expensive.” But no, I think it would say we are a product of pain and we are proud to be here standing on our own 2 feet after overcoming so much trauma. I had body dysmorphia really horribly until I started getting tattoos. And I finally feel like I see more of the real me when I look in the mirror, and that was always the goal, to feel at home in a body that never felt comfortable.
What would you do with the $25,000?I’d use $15k of it to pay off debts, $5k to go on vacation, and $5k to get more ink from some of my favorite artists.
