Learn MoreMy most recent inspiration is based on my amazing husband and my 2 kids 17 & 19 who are always holding their own pain of hEDS. While I have just had my 1yr mastectomy follow up. It is also inspiring to remind myself that I can still do anything The new ink is all 4 of our birth flowers and the moon cycle underneath. The lotus (tad cliche) because it feels like walking in waist high mud all the time.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I am enough. I am stronger than my demons, the abuse, the hate, the genetics I didn’t ask for, my adopted dad dying at 41. My adopted mother abandoning me at 43. My body is a canvas and I would love something to cover my old with the new I am not the same anymore. It was such a dark year I tried to be unalive, my son and husband saved me. I want the reminder that it gets better and I am not giving in to these awful debilitating syndromes.
What would you do with the $25,000?52 & 45 we would finally take a small honeymoon, I haven’t had a “family” trip since 2018(?), we want to rent space for everyone who stayed with us to say thank you. I would put the rest aside for continuing health care for all 3 of us with the same disability.
