Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

What inspired my black rose tattoo was its symbolism of strength through darkness. Placing it on my hand was bold, especially working in education, where appearances are often scrutinized. But I chose visibility to stay true to myself. I want to work in a field that accepts me—tattoos, passions, and all. The rose reminds me daily to embrace who I am and encourages others, especially my students, to do the same without fear.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my tattoos could speak, they’d tell stories of resilience, identity, and growth. They’d say, “We are pieces of your journey, reminders of what you’ve overcome and what you stand for.” They’d whisper, “You’re bold, unafraid to wear your truth on your skin.” They’d tell others, “There’s more to see than what’s on the surface—this is a person who chooses meaning over masks, who lives and loves unapologetically.&r

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would use it to create a safer financial foundation, allowing me to shift my focus to what truly matters most—providing stability for my kids. As a single mom, every decision I make is centered around their well-being. This support would ease financial stress, help secure our future, and give me the freedom to be more present, more grounded, and more intentional in building the life they deserve.
